Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026. Applies to the Rosepurl app for Android.

Rosepurl has no account and no sign-up. It's built to work on your phone.

Kept only on your device

Your projects, counts, counters, reminders, notes, cover photos, pattern files and settings are stored in the app on your phone. We have no server for them and can't see them.

Backup files

When you choose Settings → Export and back up, the app writes a file to the place you pick. That file is yours. If you save it to a cloud service or share it, that service's own terms apply.

Crash reports

To fix problems, the app sends crash reports through Google Firebase Crashlytics. These can include device and app details, a crash trace and an installation identifier. They don't include your projects, notes or patterns. You can turn them off in Settings → Send crash reports.

App settings from our server

The app downloads its settings, such as whether ads are on, from Google Firebase Remote Config. This request carries an installation identifier and basic technical details.

Ads

Ads are switched off. The app includes Google's ad software (Google AdMob), which makes no ad requests while ads are off. If ads are switched on later, AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and technical data to show and measure ads. We'll update this policy first, and ask for consent where the law requires it. We don't use personalized ads or track you across other companies' apps.

Usage statistics

The app doesn't collect usage statistics.

Files and permissions

You choose patterns and photos through your phone's file and photo pickers. The app only gets the files you pick. It doesn't ask for your location, contacts, camera or microphone.

Messages you send us

If you contact us, we receive what you write, and use it only to answer you and improve the app.

Who receives data

Only Google, as the provider of Firebase and AdMob, and of Google Forms for contact messages, under its own privacy policy. We don't sell your data.

Children

Rosepurl isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Delete your data

  1. Everything in the app: delete a project in the app, or uninstall the app. This removes your data from the phone. Backup files you saved elsewhere stay until you delete them.
  2. Crash reports: turn them off in Settings to stop sending them. Google keeps past reports for a limited time.
  3. Messages you sent us: ask through the contact page, and we'll delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. Most of your data is on your phone, under your control. For anything else, use the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
